ICD successfully starts up the first CORAIL synchronous supplier

Feb 3, 2015 | Just In Sequence

Sevelnord is the second PSA Group plant to benefit from Corail, a vast program to transform inbound logistics and information systems. The Group's old information systems will be replaced by this new tool. It follows three main principles:

  • Aim for a global Supply Chain
  • Contribute to lean deployment
  • Take into account new logistics patterns, especially in international markets

Synchronous parts supply means delivering parts according to the order in which they pass through the production line. This means that parts are delivered at the last moment, only when they are needed, thus limiting inventories and related costs.

A leader in the implementation of " Just In Sequence " solutions, ICD has adapted its Syflux Syflux solution to meet PSA Group's new requirements. After a 3-week duplicate life phase, l'Ostrevent is the first synchronous supplier to have successfully gone live.

Aurore Guernalec, Head of Change Management and Partner Relations at PSA Group, looks back on the start-up:

"The start-up was a real success, as the supply of parts was ensured without disruption.

All this was made possible thanks to the expertise and responsiveness of ICD, which was able to take into account our needs and respond in a professional manner.

ICD International is a true partner of PSA Group, with whom we have built up a quality relationship throughout the project."

We are ready to roll out Corail to other PSA Group plants, and are already working on deployment at the Trnava site.
